Network system and network-to-network bridging device

Abstract

The invention provides a network system. In one embodiment, the network system includes a main system and at least one auxiliary system. The host board of the main system includes at least one slot allowing the auxiliary to couple with the main system through inserting into the slot. The slot meet an outer periphery device high-speed inter-connection interface standard. A network-to-network bridging device containing a transmission layer but no network access layer is disposed between the main system and the auxiliary system to transmit data between the main system and the auxiliary system through the outer periphery device high-speed inter-connection interface standard. The network-to-network bridging device accesses and/or stores MAC addresses of the main system and the auxiliary system for realizing data transmission and can be arranged on the host board of the main system or the auxiliary system according to actual requirements. The invention can improve data transmission speed and thereby improve the efficiency in meeting client side service requirements.
