The objective of this work is to present a bibliographical review on perimolysis, due to the difficulties that many professionals show in diagnosing and preventing this pathology.
Abstract
The objective of this work is to present a bibliographical review on perimolysis, due to the difficulties that many professionals show in diagnosing and preventing this pathology. Perimolysis is a type of dental erosion, more and more frequent, both in children and in youngsters and adults, mainly due to modern habits of feeding. This wear causes severe loss of dental structure, as a consequence of frequent contact of teeth with acids. It is intended, this way, to describe etiologies, diagnosis, prevention and the most appropriate treatments for this pathology.
