The present invention provides a PDE9 inhibitor compound of formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and pharmaceutical compositions containing compounds of formula I and their use in the treatment of neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia.

The present invention provides a PDE9 inhibitor compound of formula (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R, R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are as defined herein. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions containing compounds of formula I and their use in the treatment of neurodegenerative and cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and schizophrenia.
