A composition for hair growth and/or hair restoration, which contains a compound represented by formula I. (In formula I, one of R 1 and R 3 represents a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group, and the other one represents a group represented by formula IV (wherein R 4b represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, and n represents an integer of 1-5); R 2 represents a hydrogen atom or an oxygen atom; R 4a is similar to R 4b ; AA represents a double bond or a single bond; and m represents an integer of 1-4.)
