The present invention discloses an optical fiber comprising a core and a cladding surrounding the core portion. Scattering at the wavelength of 1550nm is equal to the absolute value or more at 4ps / nm / km and less than or equal to 10ps / nm / km; dispersion slope at a wavelength of 1550 nm less than or equal to the absolute value of 0.04ps / nm 2 / km; an effective area at a wavelength of 1550 nanometers is equal to or more than 40μm 2 , and the transmission loss at a wavelength of 1550 nm is equal to or less than 0.205dB / km .
