On the linear piezoelectricity of composite materials

Abstract

From the equations of the linear piezoelectricity for a composite material with a periodic structure we derive the dynamical solution by means of Bloch expansion techniques. This expression techniques. This expression allows, as a limit case, a comparison with the homogenization method, and the macroscopic coefficients are also deduced.
