Advanced Library Management System using IoT
A RFID based advanced library management system which can detect the user as well as books automatically and reduce the exhausting entry works by which the man power can be engaged in other productive works is proposed.
Abstract
Libraries provide education, information, clears doubts and used as reference all over the world. Even though the internet provides tones of information and e-learning become popular, the importance of library wouldn’t be reduced. But, maintaining library records is one of the most time-consuming processes. Nowadays computers and few ERP programs are used instead of manually writing ledgers. But still long queue of users can be seen in the library for issue, return and renew of books. This paper has proposed a RFID based advanced library management system which can detect the user as well as books automatically. This information will be updated in the database by microcontroller and PuTTY software. Library is the main source of information for many people. So, transforming the library into digital will mostly help them. This system will reduce the exhausting entry works by which the man power can be engaged in other productive works. RFID based library management system is well organized and reliable for users and workers.
