The concept of net intrusion is discussed, the basic demand to the Intrusion Detecting System (IDS), and a kind of model of the NIDS is summarized, and the role of IDS in network security is discussed.
Abstract
This paper begins with the concept of net intrusion, discusses the basic demand to the Intrusion Detecting System (IDS), and summarizes a kind of model of the NIDS. The paper also gives out the class of the IDS, analyses the technique of the network intrusion de-tecting in detail, and discusses the role of IDS in network security. The future development of IDS is also discussed in the paper.
