Abstract

Telecom Australia purchases 90% of its telecommunications equipment requirements from local manufacturers. There is a need for continual upgrading of technologies in order to meet demands at reasonable costs, consequently there is a need for industry to be able to rapidly provide new technologies which are based on worldwide developments.
