An image processing apparatus that exhibits a reduced storage amount of storing lookup tables and that can desirably adjust the processing degrees of various color processings. An image processing apparatus (10), which processes the color of an image signal (d2), comprises a profile producing part (15) and a color processing execution part (16). The profile producing part (15) produces a new color conversion profile for realizing a predetermined processing degree of a predetermined color processing, based on a plurality of basic color conversion profiles for realizing different processing degrees of the predetermined color processing. The color processing execution part (16) executes the color processing of the image signal (d2), based on the new color conversion profile as produced.
