Abstract
Due to failure to distinguish popular novels and classic novels, there has long existed unfair understanding of the former. In fact, a number of classic novels were once popular novels. Besides, the constant progress of popular novels makes it possible for them to become classic novels. The problem now is how to create popular novels instead of classic ones.
