Those with normal blood pressure increased their blood pressure continuously after setting at high altitude except essential and secondary hypertension and the 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure mainly involves diastolic, which could be restored to normal when returning to plain.
ve To observe 24 -hour ambulatory Wood pressure of 60 patients with hypertension at high altitude. Methods 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure of 60 patients with hypertension at high altitude was compared with the patients with essential hypertension(EH) matched in age and sex. Results The diurnal and nocturnal blood pressure rhythm of hypertension at high altitude was similar to that of EH. The nocturnal blood pressure of both groups decreased a lot. Hypertension at high altitude mainly involves elevation of diastolic pressure. The diurnal and nocturnal curves of both groups overlapped. Conclusion Those with normal blood pressure increased their blood pressure continuously after setting at high altitude except essential and secondary hypertension and the 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure mainly involves diastolic,it is indicated hypertension at high altitude, which could be restored to normal when returning to plain.
