THE RESILIENCE OF STUDENTS WITH AN IMMIGRANT BACKGROUND: FACTORS THAT SHAPE WELL-BEING © OECD 2018 Immigrant students face multiple sources of disadvantage that affect their academic performance and their general well-being. This chapter examines language as a risk factor when considering the academic, social, emotional and motivational resilience of immigrant students.
