ABSTRACT - The present work aimed to evaluate the mineralization of two humic compounds by the method of microbial respiration. Consisted of the following treatments: T1 (autoclaved soil + humus manure), T2 (autoclaved soil + humus plant), T3 (unautoclaved soil + humus manure), T4 (unautoclaved soil + vegetable humus), and T5 (unautoclaved soil). In all experiments we observed the decomposition of the compounds. The evolution in microbial activity, shows the values of each treatment at different incubation times, where treatment T5 had higher rates of decomposition, differing from all other treatments due to the activity of soil microorganisms, which released the CO2 content indicates that mineralization occurred more intense in treatments with vermicompost).
