Abstract
: In present days, Internet of Things is playing a vital role in day to day life of people. Internet acts as a medium of communication between the device and the data storage. The main function of IOT is to handle the signals and respond back to the receiver for the request. IOT is been implemented in different fields like agriculture, industrial purpose, healthcare and environment etc. which in turn provides various advantage for people. Day by day the revolution of IOT in various fields is resulting in tremendous growth which is mainly in favor of people. This paper surveys about the architecture of IOT system, applications of IOT and different layers involved in the process of communication. Further, the paper is focused on the discussion about the IOT in healthcare field.
