Progresses in Vermicomposting of Sluges

Abstract

Vermicomposting has become a new choice for sludge treatment and thus the research focus in recent years.The research advances of vermicomposting of sludges were discussed from the aspests including the selection of earthworm species fitting for sludge compost,the change of physical and chemical properties of sludge caused by vermicomposting treatment,the change of earthworm themselves,the elimination of heavy metal enrichment by earthworms and the effect of evaluating sludge treatment by analyzing plant growth.It would provide references for relative researches and practical applications of sludge treatment.
