Changes in Homelessness Among US Veterans After Implementation of the Ending Veteran Homelessness Initiative

There was a substantially greater decrease in homelessness among veterans than in the general population after the federal Ending Veteran Homelessness initiative, suggesting an important role for health systems in addressing complex social determinants of health.

Abstract

This cohort study compares changes in homelessness among US veterans with those in the general population after implementation of the Veterans Health Administration’s Ending Veteran Homelessness initiative.
