Abstract
The image processing apparatus includes the image type determination section, the compression ratio selection section and the compressor. The image type determination section determines the image type according to the degree of change in the input image. The compression selection unit determines the compression ratio of the image according to the determined image type. The compressor compresses the image based on the determined compression rate.
