PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate correct diagnostic support information by selecting cells to be observed on the basis of overlapping of cells from an image obtained by photographing the cells.SOLUTION: The image processing device of the invention comprises: input means for inputting an image obtained by photographing cells; cell area extraction means for extracting a specific structure of the cells from the image as a cell area; overlapping information acquisition means for acquiring overlapping information about an overlapping area in which the cell area overlaps the other cell area; selection means for selecting an area to be diagnosed that becomes an object for generating diagnostic support information from the cell area on the basis of the overlapping information acquired by the overlapping information acquisition means; and generation means for generating the diagnostic support information from the area to be diagnosed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
