International trade conventions in the field of private international law are obviously different from the international conventions in the field of public international law. They are closely related to the contract of international trade. The application, modification or exclusion of the conventions should be written in the contract. The latest international trade conventions show new development of the autonomy rule of the parties’ will. They allow and clearly provide that the parties of the contract have the rights of conventions’ selection, modification and exclusion. On the basis of researching the definition of international trade conventions and their relation to the contract, this paper mainly expounds and proves the practical application of the conventions in the contract and attentions must be paid when they are applied.
