. This article reveal a generalized approach to the identification of an approximating model that can be used to describe the evolution of a system with distributed parameters. It is proposed to use approximate equations, which are derived from the Galerkin method, to create the model. Based on these equations, it is possible to carry out an interrelated identification procedure and change the dynamic characteristics of the system
