Abstract

This invention provides technology whereby communication stations for carrying out random accessing can carry out information transmission by using a proper transmission rate.In a first MRQ state, a reception station feeds back an MCS (modulation coding scheme) wherein a succeeding packet is to be transmitted to a transmission station and sets a Duration value corresponding to the MCS. In a second MRQ state, the reception station carries out no MCS feedback, esteems a default MCS set by the transmission station and sets a Duration value corresponding to the MCS. Further, in a third MRQ state,the reception station carries out the MCS feedback but the transmission station finally determines the MCS.
