Compared with the existing technology, the tethered UAV developed in this paper has the advantages of simple structure, easy operation and easy installation and disassembly.

Abstract

The tethered UAV can solve the problem of short endurance of ordinary UAV, which is suitable for the needs of long-time hovering at high altitude. It is widely used in many fields such as disaster relief, border inspection, base safety, scenic spot monitoring, geological survey, field operation, forest fire prevention, emergency communication, public security anti-terrorism, traffic supervision, news gathering, engineering monitoring, environmental monitoring, film and television shooting, scientific research, national defence, etc. In this paper, a tethered UAV device is developed, including the UAV system, which mainly includes a frame, several power modules connected in the frame, a motor used to drive the rotation of the power module, and a rotatable guide plate set at the side of the frame. Vehicle-mounted system, the winch is connected to the bottom of the frame through cables, and the power supply and control switch for driving motor rotation are installed in the vehicle.
