MATH 101M. An Introduction to Mathematics for Critical Thinking. 3 Credits. This course fulfills the math general education requirement for some majors in the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Education and Professional Studies. It can also be used as a preparation for STAT 130M. An introduction to the ways in which modern mathematics can be used to analyze the modern world and make logical decisions. Topics include problem solving, sets, logic, consumer mathematics (loans, mortgages, annuities), probability, and elementary statistics.
