Abstract

SSEC is looking for a talented individual who has a passion for science and programming, who has a solid foundation in computer science. The successful applicant will help create dynamic web pages, maintain our website and databases, and assist in the transition to a new WordPress based CMS. This position will be working within a dynamic and flexible team environment and must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a demonstrated history of self-motivation. The successful candidate will either have prior knowledge or demonstrate a willingness to learn about: • Programming Experience • Reliable, accurate and possess excellent communication skills • Must possess the ability to work in a small team or independently • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at UW and remain in academic good standing for duration of employment • Preference will be given to graduate students early in their academic program or upper level undergraduates and in curricular areas directly related to computer science, programming, and/or database management.
