Abstract Information security (InfoSec) is one of the most important corporate strategies for survival in today's computer and commercial world. Despite this, the latest joint CSI/FBI Computer Crime and Security Study found that “the threat from computer crime and other information security breaches continues unabated and the financial toll is mounting.” Information security is indeed a very serious problem, exacerbated by the evolution of criminals who learn how to compromise security controls and tools almost as fast as they are developed and released for use.
