On Revenge Themes in Greek Mythology

Abstract

Revenge has been a special phenomenon popular all through human social practice. Revenge themes have the most colorful and lively embodiment in Greek mythology. According to motives and main bodies of these revenge conducts, together with the value of juristic ethics reflected, we could divide the theme into three patterns, that is, consanguinity revenge, honor revenge and love revenge.
