The new teaching mode could effectively activate the course content, enhance students' abilities of self- learning, collaborative learning and inquiry learning, but induce some disadvantages including taking up more spare time of the students and imperfection of group learning implementation rationality.
A survey with questionnaire was used in the students who had already received new teaching mode in Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for analyzing the teaching results and disadvantages in teaching reform. The results showed that the new teaching mode could effectively activate the course content, enhance students' abilities of self- learning, collaborative learning and inquiry learning, but induce some disadvantages including taking up more spare time of the students and imperfection of group learning implementation rationality. It is hoped to perfect teaching design through such measures as arranging reasonable teaching time, further regulating teaching content and group learning and so on.
