Abstract

The world economy continues to rely heavily on the agriculture industry, and the growing need for food hastened the spread of pests and plant diseases worldwide. Pests and disease outbreaks pose a continual threat to agriculture and severely harm the national economy. Early detection can, therefore, lessen the severity of illnesses and safeguard crops. On the other hand, manual disease identification needs in-depth knowledge of plant pathogens and is laborious and prone to inaccuracy. Automated techniques, on the other hand, save time and labor. This document summarizes research conducted in the last ten years on using artificial intelligence for agricultural disease identification. In agriculture, artificial intelligence is essential for identifying pests and plant diseases. Additionally, this study addresses the many, This study also addresses the various obstacles that need to be addressed and potential fixes. Then, several recommendations are made to deal with these issues. Lastly, this study offers a prospective view that should prove to be a very beneficial and priceless asset for researchers studying pests and agricultural disease detection.
