Abstract

Water is a very precious resource and the pollution in water is increasing day by day, and many researchers are trying to solve the problem by checking and maintaining the quality of water. People today are heavily dependent on govern-ment agencies for water testing and reports. The overall reach of these agencies is limited. Several remote areas and locations are neglected which leads to lack of efficient water health monitoring. The thrust of the Water pollution report system is to provide an instant and accurate solution for water testing and analysis to its users which can range from lab researchers, health department and health workers. We have chosen Turbidity and pH as the water parameters; we intend to measure and analyse. The system includes the integration of multiple sensors module interfaced with an Arduino UNO micro-controller and a hand-held device running on the Android operating system. By measuring turbidity and using the pH range, we can estimate the quality of water and its health. Key advantage of this system is its handy and the readings are almost instantly. Thus, would help the remote regions to test the water source prior to consumption. Constant monitoring of these water parameters at the source would also help keeping the pollution in check, especially for the running water. This would facilitate clean water availability and regulates irrigation practices.
