ELECTRON-OPTICAL ELECTRODE SYSTEMS FOR ELECTRON ACCELERATOR INJECTORS

Abstract

Simple electrode systems with spiral and ribbon cathodes used in betatron and synchrotron injectors were investigated. The causes of poor reproducibility or the Kerst injector electron-optical parameters -were found. Systems with ribbon cathodes, suggested for exxperimental investigation, have practically parallel electron beams which permit angular beam divergence changes up to lS to 20 .(tr-auth)
