DevOps Culture in Software Development Companies in Jordan
A survey on the DevOps tools that are used in software companies in Jordan, and the opinions of the employees who work in this field about DevOps are conducted.
Abstract
DevOps is a methodology that is derived from the agility requirement for delivering operational releases quickly. DevOps is derived from Development and Operations. It is a set of stages and iterations that the software goes through from the planning phase until obtaining the final product, and continues for subsequent versions and updates. In this paper, we conducted a survey on the DevOps tools that are used in software companies in Jordan, and the opinions of the employees who work in this field about DevOps. The study targets their DevOps experience, tool pricing, and faced problems. The survey results indicate that more than half of the employees who work in software companies use commercial DevOps tools, while the others use free and open-source tools.
