An international consensus has been emerging around the importance of three underlying factors as causes of malnutrition, factors related to food, health and care (UNICEF, 1990; ACC/SCN, 1991; Maxwell and Frankenburger, 1992).
Abstract This chapter gives an overview of the relationship between food security and One Health. Topics that were highlighted are: the global governance of food and nutrition security; malnutrition; undernutrition; over nutrition; food waste; and systems approach to food security.
