With the changes in society, the education section was in dire need to get revamped, and hence the New Education Policy 2020 was introduced. The policy undertook a variety of sections to aim for a more equitable education sector where quality education would lead to further successes. The paper seeks to analyse few provisions of NEP with reference to the city of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar by analysing a few schools and comparing and contrasting the differences in order to show the disparities between different kinds of school on the basis of intake, background, funding and other relevant factors. The loopholes in the NEP are highlighted based on this comparative analysis, and recommendations are provided in order to better the implementation and progress of NEP and make sure the main aim it desires is fulfilled. The overall implementation of NEP, will end till 2040 while this may be a disadvantage, the time could be used to fill the deficiencies and gaps.
