This research on this OCR aims at resulting in the research done so far in this field ofiOCR, the process of extracting text from an image which is to make documents which can be editable from existing paper documents or even image files.
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) has been an interesting topic for many years now. It is defined d as the process of digitizing an image given into its very constituent characters despite, decades of very intense research performed, developing OCR with the capabilities comparable to that of the hum a still remains as an open challenge for many. Due to this challenging nature of OCR, researchers from industry and as well as academics have been moved their attentions towards this new invention called Optical Character Recognition. In the last few years, the number of laboratories and companies involved in this kind of research on Character Recognition has grown dramatically. This research on this aims at resulting in the research done so far in this field ofiOCR. It is the process of extracting text from an image. The main use of this OCR is to make documents which can be editable from existing paper documents or even image files. A vast number of algorithms are required to develop this OCR, and basically it works in two phases which are character and another r is word detection. In this case of more sophisticated approach, an character recognition also works on sentence detection which helps in preserving a document's structure.
