The components and features of IDS are introduced, the intrusion detection scheme based on Snort is studied, and the design and deployment of Snort IDS with the platform of Linux is put forward.
Abstract
This paper briefly introduces the components and features of IDS, studies the intrusion detection scheme based on Snort, and puts forward the design and deployment of Snort IDS with the platform of Linux and some concrete schemes for rules design and models improvement , which provide the reference for the design and development of IDS.
