Alertness lowered and sleepiness raised while sleepiness increased after SD, suggesting that as the time of sleep deprivation prolonged, the power of biological rhythm weakened.

Subjects were sleep deprived from 7:00 am and were tested every 3 hours by subjective assessment. Results:Alertness lowered and sleepiness raised while sleepiness increased after SD. More sensitive to sleepiness than to alertness. As the time of sleep deprivation prolonged, the power of biological rhythm weakened.
