Abstract
The advantage of the combined use of positive and negative angular frequencies over the current rise of positive angular frequencies only is pointed out. A number of examples are given to illustrate this, e.g., complex symbolism for linear fixed and variable networks, the Fourier series md integral, and the calculation of intermodulation noise.
