The results showed the characteristics of people with Diabetes Mellitus in Padang with the majority of the female gender 66.1% with an average age of 45.68 years, and it is expected that health workers can improve thequality of treatment and therapy of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve the quality of life of patients in the days to come.
In patients of the chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, quality of life is likely to decline. Based on the phenomenon discovered the many complaints of patients with Diabetes Mellitus associated with health conditions and the disruption of daily activities.The purpose of this study was toanalyze the picture quality of life in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Puskesmas Padang in 2019, The design of this research is quantitative descriptive method. The study was conducted in four health centers Padang (Padang Pasir, Public Health Center Andalas, Rawang health centers, and health centers Ulak Karang). The research sample as many as 94 people with purposive sampling technique. Data obtained by the instruments DQOL short version consists of 15 questions divided into four domains. The results showed the characteristics of people with Diabetes Mellitus in Padang with the majority of the female gender 66.1% with an average age of 45.68 years. Long suffering from Diabetes Mellitus majority of> 2 years, with most of the respondents' education high school. Amounting to 53.2% of respondents were many complications. Found quality of life was still low, is obtained from the value of quality of life based on a domain satisfaction of 11.78%, based on the quality of the domain of the impact of 9.18%. Found domain value with social problems by 8.65%, and the value of the domain with worry at 9.18%. It is expected that health workers can improve the quality of treatment and therapy of type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve the quality of life of patients in the days to come.
