Abstract
A method for processing waste water containing heavy metal and sulphate ions, wherein the metal ion is first precipitated and separated in the form of a sulfide, then Biological reduction of sulfate to sulfide, and sulfide precipitation step is returned in. Residual sulphide can be oxidized to elemental sulfur, elemental sulfur is separated off prepared desulfurization waste water, or to remove the residual sulphide by adding a metal salt before the precipitation.
