One of the possibilities how to improve properties of conventional polymers is their modification with suitable nanoparticles. In order to observe the desired properties of nanocomposites it is important to know basic parameters characterizing nanoparticles. They are size and shape of nanoparticles and the quality of nanoparticles dispersion in polymeric matrix. We have measured these parameters for various combinations of polymer matrixes and nanoparticles by Atomic Force Microscopy ICON Dimension, dynamic X-ray diffraction 90 Plus/BI-MAS and X-ray Disc Centrifuge XDC. The studied systems were i/ acrylate dispersion modified with inorganic particles, ii/ alkyd solution modified with inorganic particles and hydroxyapatite nanoparticles, iii/ epoxy system modified with inorganic nanoparticles, iv/ rubber modified with inorganic nanoparticles, and v/ magnetic nanoparticles. Results including comparison of the studied nanocomposite systems will be discussed. Author did not supply full text of the paper/poster
