Abstract
In July 2020, ‘National Education Policy’ (NEP), 2020 was approved by the cabinet. This policy aims for the major overhaul of the Indian education system. It is expected that the education system will be completely transformed by 2040. This will replace the old National Educational Policy, 1986. As education is a concurrent subject, implementation of the policy will require the approval of states.
