IT is much to be hoped that the opening chapters of Structures for Renewal (Mowbrays, i96~ ; 2~s. 6d.), the style of which is a little heavy, will not put off the reader. His persistence will be well rewarded. The sub-title of the book, ’ A Search for the Renewal of the Church’s Mission to the World’, sums up its purpose admirably. The author is B. N. Y. Vaughan, Bishop of Honduras. The fact that he, though he began his ordained ministry in Wales, has spent most of it in the West Indies need not lead us to suppose that he does not know our difficulties and temptations in the old world. Far from it. He has kept in touch, especially through the World Council of Churches, through wide reading and, I suspect, through frequent visits. He speaks to our condition.
