This article describes and evaluates the current state of affairs in on-line publishing for political science. The advantages of on-line publication for political science are noted. Existing projects to put book reviews, newsletters, journals, and working papers on-line are described with comments on some of the lessons that can be learned from them. A working paper index and archive project, Political Science Manuscripts, is described in detail. A conference paper archive is proposed for political science. Lastly, the argument is made that on-line publication will strengthen, rather than undermine, the peer review process.
