To provide a satisfactory piezoelectric property and insulating property and containing no lead and potassium piezoelectric material. Piezoelectric material comprising: a perovskite type metal oxide represented by the following general formula (1) represented by: (NaxBa1-y) (NbyTi1-y) O3, where, satisfy the relation of 0.80≤x≤0.95 and 0.85≤y≤0.95 ; and a phase less than or equal to 1 mole of the perovskite-type metal oxide is not less than y × 0.05 mol% and y × 2 mol% copper.
