Comment on The Ecocriticism Reader

Abstract

The Ecocriticism Reader(1996)is the first collection of papers on ecocriticism in the world,and is generally regarded as the ABC book of ecocriticism.It studies the basic ideas,the main terms and the criterions of ecocriticism and has great influence upon the appearance and development of ecocriticism in many countries,including China.It discusses such basic problems as the definition of ecocriticism,the criticism of anthropocentrism,and ecological duty.
