In addition, on the last two decades several studies showed an increased prevalence of coronary and stroke disease and also the cardiovascular (CV) disease represents the principal mortality cause in RA patients; in both male and female subjects. Also, CV mortality prevalence is higher in patients with a younger age than in the general population; so it ́s stablished an accelerated atherosclerosis in this disease.
