Electron microscopy reveals that the ornamentation of aecidiospores and uredospores of Coleosporium tussilaginis proceeds within a growing primary wall without pit formation, and evidence for regarding the ‘uredosori’ as ‘repeating secondary aecidia’ is strengthened.
