Abstract
Due to a series of issues raised in recent years, such as global water crisis, drought, and shortage of freshwater resources, researchers seek solutions to these problems by rationalizing water consumption in the agricultural sector as one of the most water-consuming sectors in the world. Wireless sensor networks (WSN) represent an exciting and important technology that has experienced significant development in recent years and can be applied in different areas of life; agricultural applications are one of the applications in which WSN is widely used and implemented successfully. The purpose of this paper is to review the application of wireless sensor networks in the field of irrigation.
