Draft metadata guidelines to begin addressing the needs of diverse communities within light and electron microscopy and the proposed Recommended Metadata for Biological Images (REMBI) will stimulate discussions about their implementation and future extension are proposed.
Abstract
This FAIRsharing record describes: The Recommended Metadata for Biological Images (REMBI) are a set of guidelines developed by the bioimaging community as a framework for discussing different aspects of useful sharing of imaging data. In general, REMBI provides a way to explain how your images were generated, providing enough context to allow others to interpret them without reference to external sources.
